Join our fellowship as we spend a week studying the Bible, enjoying our community and relaxing after the year.  Summer Con is one of the best ways to end the year and begin the summer.

We’ll be going to a campsite in Idyllwild, CA, about 2.5 hours east of UCLA towards San Bernadino.  Each day we’ll spend about 7-8 hours in Bible Studies and Seminars, and there will also be plenty of time to swim, play basketball, softball, go on hikes, play games, and hangout with friends.

The registration fee of $295 is a lot of money but it will cover all of your major expenses for a week.  If for whatever reason you are unable to pay the entire amount, please submit a scholarship form so that we can try to help you out.  We don’t want money to be a barrier from you spending a week growing closer to God.

Studies Offered

  • For new students – Mark 1
  • For students who have completed Mark 1 – Mark 2
  • For sophomores who have completed Mark 1 & 2 – Mark 1 Repeaters
  • For juniors and seniors who have completed Mark – Prayer Seminar
  • Graduating seniors – Senior Seminar

What is Mark Study?

Mark Study is an in-depth look at the life of Jesus.  During the course of the week you will meet with other students like yourself and study the biography of Jesus according to Mark.  It’s one of the best ways to discover for yourself who Jesus is, and what it means to follow him.  Mark 1 is the first half of this biography and it’s open to all students regardless of your spiritual background.  So whether you consider yourself a Christian or not, join us for one of the best experiences that InterVarsity has to offer.

I you would like to apply for a scholarship, complete the online registration, turn in the $75 deposit, and submit this scholarship form to the registrar (KC Collins) by Thurs, May 27. We will give you a response by Friday, June 4.

Who is Jesus? What does it mean to follow him? Why should I care?

Come join InterVarsity at UCLA, USC, and CSUN on Catalina Island for a weekend of discovering the answers to these very questions. You’ll be seeking these answers alongside others just like you who are wanting to simply check out what Christianity is all about.

  • Cost: $125 (scholarships are available)
    Transportation, food, and housing are included in the cost of registration.

Spend the weekend with IVBCF studying the word of God. As you dive into the word through inductive study, this conference will be one of the most exciting and powerful events you attend at UCLA!

Studies offered:

  • Mark Manuscript Study (for new students to the study)
  • Mark II (for those who have finished Mark I)
  • Genesis (for Juniors who have finished Mark II)
  • Senior Seminar

Times:

  • Friday: 6pm to 10pm
  • Sat & Sun: 8am to 10pm
  • Monday: 8am to 1pm
