What does IVBCF get up to during the school year? Find out here! (And if you see anything you might want to get involved with, please reach out!)

FALL CON

During Fall Quarter, IVBCF and other InterVarsity chapters from the L.A. area visit Catalina Island for a weekend opportunity to establish and deepen personal relationships with God and each other. It’s a time for students to step onto the path of seeking God through worship and spiritual introspection.

JANUARY JUMPSTART

During Winter Quarter, IVBCF hosts January Jumpstart! For a whole weekend, we dive into the Bible as a fellowship with the inductive study method to get a better understanding of what God wants to tell us through these passages so that we may allow His word to transform us.

We have our Mark 1 Study, Sermon on the Mount Study, Genesis Study, and Senior Seminar.

HUNGER GAMES FUNDRAISER

Every year, IVBCF puts on our version of the Hunger Games to raise money for Summer Con scholarships.

Our version of the Hunger Games runs around the UCLA campus and is streamed on Twitch—you can get involved as a Tribute or a Game Maker, or just watch the Games!

SUMMER CON

As soon as school ends, IVBCF and our other LA chapters are back at Catalina Island! Our studies for this con are Mark 1, Mark 2, Mark 1 Repeaters, Prayer Seminar, and Senior Seminar.

Like Fall Con, Summer Con is a time to deepen our relationships with each other and God, usually for a full week. But this year, we’ll just be on Zoom for two days!

SPRING & SUMMER MISSIONS

At IVBCF, we’ve got a wide range of missions for anyone interested to participate in!

Our Spring mission is NY/CUP, which depending on the year sends our students to New York/Chicago.

Our Summer missions either send students to Turkey or to stay in the LA area for LAUP.
